BADGING
AND CREDENTIALS

The Jackson Municipal Airport Authority (JMAA) Badging Office is committed to ensuring the highest standards of security and access control at Jackson-Medgar Wiley Evers International Airport (JAN) and Hawkins Field (HKS). All airport employees, tenants, and contractors must obtain proper identification and access credentials to perform duties on airport property.

Badge Application Requirements

To apply for a badge, all applicants must:

  • Complete the badging application.
  • Obtain a signature from an authorized signatory.
  • Present two (2) valid forms of identification, such as:
    • Valid driver’s license
    • State-issued ID card
    • Social Security card
    • Birth certificate
    • Valid U.S. passport
  • Initial Badge Issuance
    • $25 per badge (all types)
    • Additional $8 Security Threat Assessment (STA) fee for new applicants
    • Additional fingerprinting fee for unescorted access badges
  • Annual Badge Renewal
    • $25 per badge (Green, Blue, White, Orange)
    • $3 STA renewal fee
  • Fingerprinting
    • $46 per record
  • Replacement Fees (Lost/Stolen/Misplaced Badges)
    • 1st Replacement: $50
    • 2nd Replacement: $100
    • Third replacements will not be issued

Note: All badge-related fees must be paid in advance at the Badging Office.

  • Employee Parking Hangtags
    • $159 annually
    • $10 base fee + $10 per remaining month in the calendar year
  • Airline Commuter Parking
    • Based Airlines: $192 annually
    • Non-Based Airlines: $500 annually

Note: Lost/stolen/misplaced parking hangtags require payment in advance before reissue.

If a lost/stolen/misplaced badge or hangtag is returned within five (5) business days, checks or money orders paid in advance will be refunded. Items returned after five days are not eligible for a refund.
