The Jackson Municipal Airport Authority (JMAA) accepts public records requests for Jackson–Medgar Wiley Evers International Airport (JAN) and Hawkins Field (HKS).

JMAA will respond within seven (7) working days of receiving a request. The initial response will include an estimated cost, if applicable. If additional time is needed, JMAA will notify the requester and may extend the response period to a total of fourteen (14) working days. Weekends and holidays are excluded from this timeline.

If the requested records contain trade secrets or confidential commercial or financial information provided by a third party, JMAA will notify the third party and allow up to twenty-one (21) working days for them to seek a protective court order.

No records will be released until payment for all associated costs—such as research, retrieval, and reproduction—has been received.

Records that are privileged or protected by law will not be produced.
